Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards has been making headlines both on and off the court. While his basketball career continues to rise, his personal life has become a focal point of public scrutiny, with multiple paternity cases and ongoing disputes with the mothers of his children.

Anthony Edwards’ Children and Baby Mothers

As of March 4, 2025, Anthony Edwards has four children with four different women, including one with his longtime girlfriend, Shannon Jackson. Below is a timeline of events surrounding his children and the ongoing drama with their mothers.

September 2023 – First Child with Daja Carlyle

Edwards reportedly welcomed his first child, a daughter named Aris, in September 2023 with a woman named Daja Carlyle . However, details of their relationship remain scarce, and Edwards has not publicly acknowledged the child.

October 2023 – Second Child with Ally D

The following month, Edwards allegedly fathered a son named Amir with a woman known as Ally D. In July 2024, Ally D publicly accused Edwards of trying to keep their child a secret, writing on Instagram:

“Only bums don’t claim their children lying about kids etc is sick in the head a WRONG.”

She later doubled down on these claims, alleging that Edwards selectively chooses which of his children to be involved with .

March 2, 2024 – Third Child with Shannon Jackson

On March 2, 2024, Edwards’ longtime girlfriend, Shannon Jackson, gave birth to their daughter, Aislynn . The couple, who went public with their relationship in November 2020 and announced their pregnancy in December 2023, have been seen as a supportive and loving pair.

Jackson has been a constant presence in Edwards’ life, frequently attending Timberwolves games and supporting him through various controversies. She also has a son from a previous relationship with rapper Chief Keef . Unlike the other women, Jackson and Edwards maintain a stable relationship, and Edwards is actively involved in their daughter’s life.

Late 2024 – Paternity Battle with Ayesha Howard

Ayesha Howard, formerly linked to rapper Lil Baby, gave birth to a daughter, Aubri in October 2024. Speculation arose regarding the father’s identity, with many suspecting Edwards.

Edwards responded by requesting a paternity test, which confirmed he was the father in December 2024. However, he later filed legal documents stating that he did not want custody or visitation rights—only to settle child support payments .

The legal battle between Edwards and Howard has been contentious. Edwards and his legal team accused Howard of attempting to manipulate the child support system by giving birth in California, where child support payments can be higher. They argued that Howard’s true residence is Georgia and that she relocated to California for financial gain:

“[Ayesha’s] conduct here is unjustifiable and a bad faith attempt to obtain a higher child support order. Ayesha’s conduct of manufacturing a false reality and using the parties’ child for financial gains should not be tolerated.”

Despite Howard’s claims that her move was unrelated to child support, a judge ruled that California lacked jurisdiction in the case, meaning child support matters would be settled in Georgia .

Howard and Ally D have publicly criticized Edwards’ approach to fatherhood. Howard deemed his potential involvement as “pointless” if he doesn’t intend to be actively involved in their daughter’s life. Her comments were echoed by Ally D, who added:

“He not in his son’s life either. Picking which kids to be part of is [trash].”

Despite his ongoing legal battles, Edwards has been actively involved in his daughter Aislynn’s life. Recently, he and Shannon Jackson threw an elaborate party for her first birthday, a stark contrast to the treatment Howard and Ally D claim they’ve received.
